I'm someone who thrives on adventure and creativity, always looking for new ways to learn and grow. Whether I'm experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, under a blanket reading a book, or climbing a tree way too tall for me, I'm constantly pushing myself to welcome new experiences and challenges. I also have a deep passion for traveling, which allows me to explore different aspects of life with distinct and unique cultures. I'm drawn to blending art and nature, using my traveling experience to highlight the beauty of the environment with creative expression. My curiosity and love for discovery are central to everything I do, driving me to constantly explore, learn, and share what I find.
With four years of game development under my belt I believe in the power of having a diverse set of strengths to build a solid foundation for success. One of my strongest is organization. Whether I'm handing a personal project, group assignment, or an internship, my ability to stay organized has always been a huge asset. I've often received compliments and praise for presenting projects in a streamline, easy-to-follow, and efficient manor. In addition, I'm incredibly passionate about my work. Passion is the core reason I'm in game development, as it fuels creativity, dedication, and hard work. Qualities essential for making meaningful contributions.
Knowing and having weaknesses are separate issues. I need to be aware of my weaknesses down to the bone so I can craft them into new strengths. It's unreasonable of me to claim that I only have strengths and now acknowledging my own weaknesses can be detrimental to my personal and professional growth. My greatest weakness is envy. Something I didn't noticed until I had some self reflection. I want to be great in my field but have space to improve myself and being the very best would mean getting rid of that. I love looking at design styles and being astonished at the visually stunning landscapes that make me want to keep my drive.
Being an environmental artist to me is about shaping the in game world to enhance storytelling, immerse players, and reflect the environment's role in the narrative. My role is to craft spaces that not only look aesthetically pleasing but serve a deeper purpose, whether evoking emotion or supporting gameplay I absolutely love creating an environment that blows the audience away. Ultimately I'm incorporating natural beauty with human impact and thoughtful design to evoke the player's emotional response and guide their experience.
